Most talks at Positive Hack Talks focus on offensive security. We also accept Defense talks โ€” especially those closely connected to offensive techniques or providing a defensive perspective on real-world attacks.


๐Ÿงฉ Talk Format

  • Up to 40 minutes total
  • Including Q&A

๐Ÿงพ Guidelines for Submissions

  • Write a clear, specific abstract. Avoid generic descriptions or AI-generated topics. We must clearly understand what you will present.
  • Less talk, more demo. Show real research, tooling, or practical techniques.
  • Talks and slides must be in English (live translation from English to Bahasa Melayu available).
  • Talks may be recorded on video and/or slides published if you give your consent.

๐Ÿ›ซ Speaker Journey

  • By April 15, 2026 (EOD) โ€” Submit your proposal
  • By April 17, 2026 (EOD) โ€” PHTalks team reviews submissions and notifies speakers
    (Timing is in Kuala Lumpur local time)

Travel and accommodation are covered for approved speakers: flights + 2 hotel nights. Want to stay longer? Let us know before we book flights. Make sure to check visa requirements and that you can obtain one.

Proposals are evaluated for clarity, originality, technical depth, and community value.

Speakers are confirmed on a rolling basis and published early on the website. Our events are organized quickly โ€” usually within 1โ€“2 months โ€” and the lineup evolves continuously.
